Summer Camp & Year-Round Positions Available! American Dance Training Camp Summer Overnight Positions Spend an action-packed summer dancing, working with kids and enjoying the great outdoors! American Dance Training Camp is looking for qualified staff for all sessions of our summer sleep away camps in Stratton Mountain, VT; Nantahala Village, NC; Squaw Valley, CA and Winter Park, CO. Overnight Camp Positions Currently Available
• Junior Instructor-Counselors (All sessions, All locations) - JICs are primary caregivers for groups of campers and assist ICs in dance classes. JICs plan, choreograph and teach elective dance classes; coordinate and carry out camp activities and guide campers in their personal growth. Must be 18 or over. JICs new to ADTC must attend an Instructor Certification Course, which covers staff training for overnight camp employees – more info below.

American Dance Training Camp School-Year Opportunities ADTC is looking for dance teachers of all levels: dance studio owners, dance professionals, collegiate dancers, K-12 educators, cheer/poms and gymnastics coaches, etc. to teach and host ADTC camps throughout the United Sates and the world. Join an international teaching and learning community on the cutting edge of dance education! Part-Time School Year Teaching Positions • Level 1 Instructors (College Dancers, teachers, coaches, etc.) – Instructors with “ADTC Level 1 Certification” are eligible to re-teach ADTC choreography at local and/or destination camps throughout the year. Level 1 Certification also makes Instructors eligible to be hired for Junior Instructor-Counselor (JIC) positions at ADTC overnight camps at a higher salary than non-certified JICs ($100 bonus per week). Must be 19 or over and attend an Instructor Certification Course – see below!
Instructor Certification Courses ADTC Instructor Certification is the process by which we ensure that the ADTC staff is not only qualified by earned degrees and/or professional experience, but also by demonstrated teaching competence for the disciplines and levels they are teaching. Certification helps ADTC maintain a consistently high caliber of staff whose aggregate individual qualifications enable us to accomplish our mission. 2008 Certification Course Dates • New York, NY: Saturday, May 10 - Sunday, May 11, 2008
* If you need to get CPR and First Aid certified, you can do so the Friday afternoon before each course (2 – 7pm) or on your own. * If you are applying for a summer overnight camp position, please send in your application and letters of reference BEFORE you register for a certification course! * If you are applying for certification only (and do not wish to teach at an overnight camp this summer), please download registration form: http://www.americandancetrainingcamp.com/documents/InstructorCertificationCourse2008.pdf and email (ADTC@ASDance.com), fax (866-383-2382) or mail (PO Box 14922, San Francisco, CA 94114) it to us as soon as possible.

• Level 2 Instructors (Choreographers & Teachers specializing in one dance style) – Instructors with “ADTC Level 2 Certification” can choreograph and teach at local and/or destination camps throughout the year. Even when they can’t make a personal appearance to teach their choreography, Level 2 Instructors still make money if their choreography is re-taught by Level 1 Instructors at an ADTC camp! Level 2 Instructors can also be hired as Instructor-Counselors (ICs) at ADTC overnight camps. Must be 21 or over and attend an Instructor Certification Course – see below!
• Level 3 Instructors (Versatile Teachers & Choreographers) – Instructors with “ADTC Level 3 Certification” will have more opportunities to choreograph and teach at local and/or destination camps throughout the year. Like Level 2 Instructors, Level 3 Instructors can earn money each time their choreography is “recycled” at an ADTC camp. Level 3 Instructors can also be hired for Instructor-Counselor (IC) positions at ADTC overnight camps. Must be 21 or over and attend an Instructor Certification Course – see below!
