My teacher told me this riddle in Algebra. If anyone figures it out we get extra credit......................
3 men enter a hotel and get a room for $30. They each pay $10. The hotel clerk realizes its Monday and the room only costs $25. He give $5 to the bell boy to give to the men. The bell boy pockets $2 and give the men back $3. The men each take $1. 3 times 9 equals $27 plus the $2 the bell boy pocketed equal $29. What happened to the last $1.
..................................
Please help, i have no idea.

each guys share was not 9 dollars it was 9.33

that still doesn't equal $30.
3 * 9.33 = 27.99 + 2 = 29.99
That doesnt equal $30 and doesnt make sense.

I am a new student here.... but hi, guys! There's no riddle!
Each man pays $9, so they pay $9*3=$27 totally, including the bell boy's $2!
You guys should count like this: 3 men pay $25 to the hotel + $2 to the bell boy = $27 = $9/each man pays *3
