Homeless people on campus

Is anyone else annoyed by all of the homeless people that seem to be running around campus bumming cigarettes and eating out of garbage cans. It just seems weird to see this everyday on a state campus.

yeah i feel u on that, its really annoying..i live close to campus and they're always coming around the trash and the dumpsters.. i feel really bad for them but i wish they would either take it elsewhere or sjpd should start cracking down on them.. and why is it that 90% of them are asians?? i dont get it..

lol.. i actually noticed that most of them are white. Especially the one bear looking guy who is always sporting his nasty ass crack.

homeless people are cool. Only the viet women who dig outta the dumpsters in the brick dorms are annoying, especially if your dorm window is right next to that area.

The asian people i see digging through the cans are typically searching for recycling items. Believe it or not, you can actually make so-so money doing that, if you don't mind the smell. There is that one guy who drinks anything he finds in the trash, which grosses me out every time.

I find it entertaining to watch them between classes. One guy walks around smoking butts off the ground. He collects them even if there is only one drag left.

it's mostly the white people I see are homeless and walking around campus. the asian people just dig through to get the recycling items.

wow... I thought they were illegal mexicans that are canning. I see the homeless bums but they don't can. I figured the canners aren't homeless, they just can't get legal jobs bc they are illegal; and live w/ legal relatives.

Anyone ever really stop to see if anyone could be helped out in any way? Every situation is different, so have some compassion and empathize. It could be you. Some are there because they want to be there, some just need a little break. I am sure we ALL do something at some point in our lives that annoys SOMEONE. My 2 cents.

Except Beni whas up with the anonymous postings? Most of those people are not homeless. They are mentally ill and some have been living here since before some of you were born. Welcome to the real world children. If your lucky you'll get out in 3-5 years then you can move back to your gated communities and work at your hisecurity campus where movement is restricted to only those with authorized business.
